Boxster Help Needed

My co worker is looking at a used one. Thoughts around here?

I know lots of PSM problems (I used to hear about), but I don't follow P cars (aside from 911).

Sally (co worker) currently drives a Z3 and is selling it. Her budget is about 18K. She doesnt need a Boxter S, regular Boxter will do.

Maintenance issues? Other known issues?

Appreciate the help.

looks like a nice car. i would avoid the early one cuz it had the 2.5 liter engine and a lot of issues. I believe there is a class action law suit against porsche for the early ones.

i would highly suggest bump the budget up to 22k and get a 00 model with the 2.7 engine. It's more powerful and they are lot less problem. anytime you buy a 10 year old german car you will get a lot of repair bill coming along with it. it's just a lot of tear and wear over time more than failure.

hope your visit was good.
