Romy, thanks for the kind words and thoughts. I have a new Boxster prototype catback exhaust system made...no resonance and deep throaty sound: and lovely humm at high rpms. This is the sickest exhaust system ever designed by yours truly. I will have more data by the weekend, but feel free to come by and see/hear it.

Come on Bisimoto, you know I would drive down there if I could but 400 miles just to listen to an exhaust system is too much....There is Youtube on the other hand.(hint, hint)

Blink,
You could also dyno your car, relax in my art deco lounge, and sip on a variety of drinks I have for my guests, while watching your dyno runs on my huge lounge flat screen! It is worth it!!

I do get the hint, though.

Cheap Mods???

Hello Bisimoto,

I just got a 2000 986S w/ 20k miles. I'm going to de snorkle. I'm tight on money so I could praobably spend maybe $200 at a time. Any suggestions on Inexpensive Intake/Exhaust/Tune combos maybe ??? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

I did the de snorkle on my mom's 2003 Boxster S. She already have GHL exhaust on there. After de snorkle (procedure is a little different than the 2000 models) I don't feel there was any difference at all. Maybe it is a little louder, but the GHL exhaust is pretty much the only sound I could hear. All in all it was fun doing it. I am not saying don't do it, but don't expect too much neither.

De-Snorkel

I Did The De-Snorkel as well on my 07 Cayman .I really like it ..sounds better and the Extra 5HP for $20.00 is a bargain .Put in the K&N last weekend and even sounds and performs better. The Vents are a little frustrating but I got handeled no problems .. Fun Mod and for very little $$$ Highly Reccomended

I've had the same problem trying to remove the grill off my 2003S. It attaches differently than the earlier Boxster versions and does not want to come off using the instructions from the ppbb.com. Anyone out there with any suggestions?
Lyn
