Ins. Co mistakenly rates my Cayman as a Cayenne

This happen to anyone else? They have the proper vin. Also, my state registration lists my Cayman as a 4dsw and a trooper had a fit over it asking me if my plates were on the correct car etc....

Tool Pants is infamous around these parts
And apparently when an insurance company runs a Carrera GT VIN it shows up as a Boxster.

wow..thats funny.

reminds me a few months ago, i got pulled over, and cop wrote me a ticket, said a 2003 Silver Chevy Impala. wtf?

nowhere in hell would i guess that, or even miss the color, but o well

When I first got my Cayman s in Jan. 06 I don't think they were in the database because they first sent me something on the Cayenne S, but it got corrected like 2 months later.

My Evo was first rated as a Lancer.... the premium tripled when they figured it out.

Maybe your ins agent was doing you a favor - intentionally enter incorrect VIN and then rate manually. If claim ever happens - "oops, that O should have been a 0".
