I had Bestline Autotech do mine.
Did it while the clutch was out.
I would expect it to cost whatever a shop dings u to drop the transmission.

Mike McCarthy, service manager @ Pfaff, ballparked it for me back in April to have the older bearing replaced on my 2005 997.1.
Around $1,250.00 labour plus parts and taxes. It will be cheaper for you to get the parts as we pay the same as you would.
