Porsche deserves their JD Power ranking!
Porsche deserves their JD Power ranking!
I am so annoyed with my Cayenne Turbo that I am seriously considering selling it. I love the way it drives, but the electronic gremiling are really starting to bug me!
Let me recap. I purchased my Cayenne a little more than a year ago and have about 28,000 miles. Like many other early ones, mine had a few issues: PCM that doesn't always turn on immediately, entry and drive "key not recognised" problem, creaky steering wheel, etc. I took it in for the first service at around 15K miles and had these things "fixed." Of course, the software fixes are not fixes at all as I still have these problems.
My vehicle has been in on 3 occassions now for a total of 8 days. On top of these problems, I have a rear wiper that mysteriously shuts down and won't restart (dealer cannot duplicate of course!), a faulty seat airbag light that was finally fixed on the 3rd try, a broken entry and drive button on the driver side, broken one touch up feature on the driver's side (I think this is a reset issue), preference features for locking and unlocking that constantly reset themselves, and the latest "put gear selector in D" while I am driving down the highway. There are probably other things that I just can't remember now.
And, the car has to go in again for another day because Porsche supposedly sent the wrong door handle to fix entry and drive.
Thanks for the opportunity to vent!
Eric

Eric:
Sorry to see you are continuing to have issues with the Cayenne. It appears that many early models have had their teething problems. Hopefully, this has been eliminated or at least reduced with the later versions. Please keep us updated with what you decide to do.

I am sorry to hear that
I have the early 04 model, maybe its one of the first, bought it May 2003. I don't have that many problems with it, I had several issues and they were fixed and they no longer appear.
I think it is a good idea to trade it in for the new one, maybe wait for 05 model? I think black is the best color for the Turbo
I know its a pain in the a.. to clean it, TC told me that!!
especially after u hit that thing on the way to his place
