How does TPMS work?

So I ordered some new (aftermarket) wheels with tires.. I'll be replacing my stock/OEM wheels with these new ones.

Will i have to take the tire pressure sensors off of my old wheels and put them on the new wheels? are the sensors between the tire and the wheel? is this something that most tire shops will do?

TPMS sensors are on the valve and easy to replace.
Just take them off and put them on the new wheels.

on 2006- you should install tires size shown in BC menu, else should reprogram system with diag computer.
0n 2007+ install any tires from 17 to 21", if use bigger size - reprogram cU.
