Guys,

I brought my car to dealership yesterday for my tranny problem, they said they checked and couldn't find anything, and somehow my problem was fixed after I got my car back, but when I started my car at the dealership, my airbag light turned on and the service guy there saw it, he said he needs to rescan the car and he said the found that my seat belt buckle is broken. I don't understand if this is a coincidence or not but now they said they ordered a new one for me. Honestly, I don't personally believe that the reason is the seatbelt buckle. What do you think the problem is?

 

i have the same exact problem airbag fault they fixed it 3 times and they said maybe cuz u reflashed the Ecu i told them no it was there B4 the said we have to restore ur ecu to factory setting :S

 

Do you still have that problem? The fact is, I don't have my ecu flashed, it's in original condition now.

the airbag light had come on in mine months ago, took it to the dealer, they replaced the airbag harnesses in both front seats, said it was a known problem. mine is a 05 tho, could be the same on the 06, im sure by 08 though its fixed so not sure about that one.

 

Had the same problem, airbag harness replaced by the dealer.

 

A similar situation happened on our 04 VW touareg but on the cayenne I have yet to face this as mine is an august 2005 "early" build Cayenne S 2006 model
