BC air filters already installed on my CTT!!!

So get this- I was going to buy air filters for my '04 CTT that I picked up recently. Decided to take a look at the filters and see how tough it was to change them... and guess what... there are brand new BMC filters already installed!!

Nice "bonus" to run across. Thought I would share the joy.. heh.

I haven't seen any dyno results on that, however allowing more airflow in should help any car. I can say my CTT was perky/responsive from the day I test drove her, now I know why... filters + bypass pipes already installed.

Hey I have a set of brand new KN performance filters available (obviously don't need them now.. heh). Interested?

It was pretty easy to get to the filters, you just pop off the engine bay top covers to left / right of engine.

Not 100% sure about '08 fitment but should be same-
anyone else know?

Yep, these upgrades are on my list as well.

Where does the plenum sit, is it the black plastic "Y" on the front of the engine?
What kinds of gains are you seeing with the plenum upgrade, and if I do ECU upgrade is it neccessary to get aftermarket blow-off valves with a higher setting (1.1 bar, for example)?

Dv' are necessary as they will also decrease lag at lower speeds (WOT), Ecu update is vital in which it plays up the largest add in the tally if you see it this way, where the oem turbo's boost settings will increase and so are the a/f ratio's.

The plenum is the black plastic y thing you are talking about and that coupled with the suggestions I have provided will make your CTT more responsive and sporty.
