Thx for posting. It's on page 283:

"If the vehicle is used for repeated short trips, and consumes a normal amount of oil, the engine oil measurement may not show any drop in the oil level at all, even after 600 miles or more. This is because the oil is gradually becoming diluted with fuel or moisture."

Is that the one?

that's the one. I might have misunderstood what it meant to say but I guess it's pretty obvious

then how the hell are we going to understand how much oil is in the engine?
