Still would have been a complete Flat repaint, really just bought this paticular truck cheap enough to invest the money.

Great project, I think at the price you paid you might even make money painting it flat black for someone whose scared to pull the trigger to do it themselves.

Can't wait to see the result. I almost went with doing a complete matte black paint job on my CTT as well. But I realized if i wasn't going with a full magnum kit of some sort it just wouldn't do the paint justice. If I decide to get a magnum kit someday the matte black would be a must for me. Just keep in mind matte black is a pain in the **** to maintain and scratches extremely easily.

Not sure about the pinstriping though. But I would keep the calipers red and pinstripe in red. orange just looks cheesy if not done right.

My Body shop just bumped me $2,000 cuz the kit sucks. PLEASE PLEASE be careful ordering from Project Cars on E-Bay. The kit was $2,999 + shipping. Cool Take 3-4 weeks to get here Cool (remember truck for resale but cool people resale only) 8 weeks later got kit, oh, and by the way it was $680 to get the kit through customs. Yes 680 that had nothing to do with S+H! His descriptions are a little off. I can only imagine myself 15 years ago, cool kit I can afford hold on plus shipping ......ok ok I got it, what do you mean 680???? I don't have $680 thats like 2 weeks of work! He has a bunch of really cool stuf and 100% feedback, I really really thought it was going to be pleasurable experience. I do 25% of my buisness off e-bay, this was the worst I have ever been through. We will see if his free Carbon mirrors show up. I am not here to bash anybody, just here to inform.

Why is that? Do you know how a car gets painted matte black? From what I have been told by a friend who has painted a few cars, you paint the car with regular black paint and use a no-gloss clear coat. You wash and wax the car the exact same, the clear holds up to scratches, dings etc the same.

There is a couple diferent ways depending on how you want the finish. We used a flatening agent and then cleared it so through washing it will be fine.

Jason, youre a crazy man! I would say next time get a kit from a quality builder just so you know it will fit. Otherwise you usually end up with a bad kit, then end up paying a bunch more to make it work, like happened with this. Hopefully your guy can get it to fit and look good.

i am not really feeling the matte audi. I like the all matte black cayenne

How about matte black with some gloss ferrari red graphics or something that will stand out
