Tire Choices for 22" Wheels?

I'm looking to spruce up my wife's Cayenne Turbo, and she's picked out some wheels. Is 285/35-22 the most common size tire used? Any brand preferences from forum members?

It's my understanding that people are using 285/35 and 295/30, but I don't understand the difference. Would someone please explain? Thanks.

295/30 has the closest rolling diameter to stock. 285/35 is a bit narrower and a bit taller and will give a slightly more compliant ride but throw off the speedometer a few mph. I have 295/30/22 Toyo Proxy S/T and love them.

Aside from the 295's having closest rolling diameter I just think it looks better. The thinner sidewall will compromise the ride a little bit but. But I think the wider you can go the better it looks too.

I'm running 295/30 Toyo proxes too and I'm happy with it.

I'm using Pirelli Scorpion Zero Assimetricos (295/30-22) and I'm really impressed with the performance, and how much less they cost ($280 ea.) than the Michelin Diamaris ($448 ea).

Currently, the Pirelli is NOT a N-spec (Porsche Approved) tire, though it is an All-Season Tire where as the Michelin is a Summer Tire.

I would recommend 295/30/22...
