Aftermarket TPMS

You fellas think I should do this i dont have TPMS is it worth it?

$179 each

Orange Electronic's real-time tire pressure monitoring system reads tire pressures and temperatures every three seconds and transmits readings to the driver's LED display for all four tires simultaneously every 30 seconds, 24 hours a day. International racecar drivers competing in GT N1, C1 and F3 events rely on the system to provide accurate tire data in any climate or location — and you can too!
The system includes four sensors with adjustable valves, LED display and 12-volt power adapter. Spare sensors are sold separately.
After sensor installation, the LED receiver/display plugs into the vehicle's cigarette lighter using the 12-volt power adapter. It features a 3.5 foot cord allowing the display to be placed where the driver can easily view the system's temperature and pressure readings. The receiver/display's patented antenna ensures problem-free reception during vehicle operation.

Both visual and audible alerts are provided when tires are leaking air, pressures are too high or too low, or when temperatures rise above normal levels.
  • Displays pressures from 0 to 76 psi, accurate to +/-1 psi
  • Displays temperatures from -22F to approx. 200F, accurate to +/-4 degrees
  • Customize display to show psi, kPa or Bar units, C or F temperature
  • Normal, green alerts change to red to signify temperature/pressure concerns
  • High pressure warning level can be set between 40 and 60 psi
  • Low pressure warning level can be set between 18 and 35 psi
The sensors' lithium batteries will last up to 7 years under normal conditions.
The Orange Electronic Retro-Fit Tire Pressure Monitoring System has a one-year manufacturer's warranty

you don't need tpms this much no need to spend your money, just check with a manual manometer once a month and you're all set

I think it is a great idea, its excellent information to have because if you have a slow leak it will let you know to pull over and put air in it before its completely flat and a wheel is destroyed.

I do agree that it's not very appealing to the eye. Our solutiong for our cayenne was that we installed it in the bottom section of the Arm rest so you don't see it but you can still here it beep if your pressure drops. The owner of GMP cought a nail in his right rear tire, had no idea till his hella system started beeping when it dropped a couple pounds. He pulled over to the next gas station and was able to just look at the screen find which wheel it was and put air in it so he was able to make it back to GMP without damaging the wheel. We will be taking pictures soon and I will post them up.

I also got Orange TPMS in my car, it is nice. they are using "TP-checker" as their retro-fit TPMS brand, and oec as their OE replacement sensor.
They have a formula team for Formula Nippon this year in Japan, and very good score for the racing.
it also showing the good quality product in the formula racing.
I love it in my car now.More important, i love it, because it response very fast, i tried to deflate the tires, it show alert within 3 seconds everytime, very good.

You may see some below information from here, you can see more about the product.

I think TPMS is a pain in the butt and it's very finicky. Not just on Porsches but on other German cars as well. Can't say about Japanese or domestic vehicles. I wouldn't do it.

I bought one Orange TPMS from US Auto Parts. I check many brand TPMS, most of the internal units are more than $200. This one is only $170. it's universal for all passenger car models. I think it's worthy and cheap for me.

Orange TPMS is easy to install. Only need to install sensors and plug in the cigar jet. Then the little kit works. Display is 3.5" x 2" x 0.75", very small. This one need no extra cable. Very easy and useful.

Moreover, Orange unit tested in many racing car (Formula Renault, Honda Le-Manz 24 hrs) I like speed so much, I was wondering if the speed goes too high and it doesn't work. It seems speed not a problem for it.

Continental Tire mentioned TPMS can reduce fuel consumption. It’s a great info for me. I saw the crude gasoline has been $140 today. I need to drive 2 hrs per day. Saving fuel consumption is also a good news for me.

Also, I heard that flat tire is the biggest reason of non-human factor accident. Watching my tire is another reason I need TPMS.

Some pictures when I open the box everybody can see.
