Question Discounts/trade values on '04 CTs

What discounts are any of you aware of being offered by P dealers for '04 Cayenne Turbos? I wonder if the discount would make the truck the same price, or close, to that of a used '04.

Another question: have any of you traded or attempted to trade your '04 Cayenne Turbo inot a dealer? If so, could you share what you were offered and what deal you ended up striking? PM me if you don't want your numbers public.

I was offered $68k for my '04 TT. It had around 26,000 miles at the time. I think the "real" number was less because the dealer was including part of the discount on the new vehicle in the number.

Kevin's right, $8k off on an '04 is about right, which would put the vehicle around $90k depending on options. There are a lot around. There's no way you should be paying the same price for used '04 vs. a new (discounted) '04. A used one with decent miles should bring in the $70s.

I received 6K off of list on an '05 TT. It was specifically ordered for me, i.e. was not already inbound that the dealer had ordered on spec. Anticipated September build, October delivery.

I was offered 8K off of list on an '04 that the dealer had on the lot. It was close to the options I wanted, but was not an '05, which was a requirement for me.

Time sure does move slow when you're waiting for a new toy

Dear Boston 7777:

Have you seen these prices at actual auction sales? A one-third drop off retail in a year is pretty severe.

I have seen 03's with low miles for $75K locally. So I think it is somewhat realistic.
