Cayenne S Questions? Bay Area

hi,

my dad's thinking about getting a Cayenne S. what is a good deal off MSRP in the Bay Area for a new one? used one? (i realize Deetz just posted a similar thread, but i know that location plays a difference in the market, and that Bay Area might be a consideration).

also, does the Cayenne S make the tax-writeoff law for SUV's? i remember the cutoff being about 6000lb laden weight or so, if i am not mistaken.

also, what options are must-haves?

it's either the Cayenne S or a 645ci. we're in Bay Area, can anybody recommend a dealership? btw, is Rector good for Cayenne's? they're very close by. i have also heard Carlsen Porsche, but i am just wondering how much everybody got their Cayenne S for if that's alright. thanks!

I would recommend you speak with either Gary Ho @ Rector or Doug Rubi @ Carlsen. Both should be able to get you a good deal, tell'em Kirby sent ya. I'm not sure about the Tax Write-off.

Yes, it conforms to the tax write off codes! I was surprised myself and it sure didn't hurt in making the decision.

Just got mine yesterday and I am thrilled with it...I love the Bi-Xenon headlights, air suspension is cool, it has a built in compressor as a result of the air suspension so that you can inflate the spare and other things,,,this was a surprise to me...

Nav is recommended...I really like all the options I got, even the park assistm which I did not think I would like is cool...

I posted my options list recently...

I got $5K off plus the dealer threw in roof rails for free ($600)..

technically speaking, the gross vehicle weight needs to be 6000 # or greater. This is not loaded weight. It was designed as a truck, farm equipment and small business / factory discount. If your accountant says it qualifies that does not make the audit boilerplate safe. But, I think I am going to go ahead with the deduction as well and see what happens.

cool, thanks guys for the resopnses.

my dad is particularly concerned about the stifness of the ride and how low it can go (had an ML which was horrible). is the adjustable ride-height and 3 damper settings availalbe stock or with the air PASM suspension? thanks.

sorry to ask so many questions, just got to convince my dad to go take a test drive.

SF Cayenne

1) I've bought three vehicles from Rector. They seem to have the best selection on the Peninsula. I also like Carlsen, but they don't seem to have the best selection on the lot. I have actually bought my P-cars from Rector and have them serviced at Carlsen.

2) Get the air suspension. It goes up and down to a rediculous extent. See my video: Cayene Deep Knee Bends

3) I know several people who have written off the C, but I'm not a tax guy. Ask your CPA. :-)
