For example, I just went to Porsche.com and picked Germany; it shows a CayenneTurbo S base price is 132,774 Euros. While there may be some differences in standard equipment (I can't read German), my computer's currency converter shows that in today's dollars to be $180,705 where in reality the base price in the USA today is $123,600.
This is exactly the risk of Porsche AG in Germany. If USD is low better for Porsche AG (but dealers do not pay less) if USD is stronger worse for Porsche AG (but dealers do not pay more).
These risks you have in many business, even when I was in the US in November hotels did not give me special rates for European people (Euro was 1.25 USD that time)... So I had to change more Euro than now.

When the Euro was 1.60 USDmany many many many cars were exported from the US to other countries worldwide!

I bought a Turbo S on Friday. They handed me a the invoice and asked if I thought that was a fair price to pay. (They did add 357.00 to the invoice for their prep etc.) It had a few expensive options I would never order (rear seat DVD & rear air) but I left with it anyway.

We picked up my wife's Turbo S this Sunday and did not get a particularly good deal - certainly nowhere near invoice. There are some good deals out there, but we ordered the vehicle some time ago and stuck to the original agreement. None of the Cayenne Turbo S being sold at a great price had specs close enough to what my wife wanted. She was pretty specific on exterior color, interior, and options.

Here is a quick garage snapshot.

Getting better or good deals is now easier than ever. I walked to a Porsche dealership to test drive a turbo. The general manager handed me the keys and send me to test drive it. I was surprised. I think their sales are harder than ever.

Anyways the MSRP was 112,300$. I brought it down to 100,000$ and he even agreed to swap the 21 sport for the 21 sport plus wheels.

Did I buy it? No. I found the same car (with 1 option more) for 80,000$ and 10K miles on it.
