My 05 CTT all of a sudden is having trouble making boost and is burning alot of oil.. car has 60,000 miles on it.i have 2ndary cat bypass and it usually will spool by 2000 rpm with a pretty moderate pedal in 3rd or 4th gear. now i almost have to floor it in Tip and it wont move the needle until 3000rpm.
any ideas what's going on??

My guess is that a turbo hose is loose. G/L!

Since he is also burning alot of oil with loss of boost my bet is a blown turbo... the seals for the oil cooling for the turbo probably are shot which is putting oil in the exhaust.. Just my guess...

Agree with above, if this problem was just occurred suddenly then check the turbos, could be blown if that just happened and you noticed loss of boost and burning oil.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?

What about that plastic hose piece connector that connects to the intercooler? Alot of them were cracking and needed to be upgraded to the aluminum piece. Mine was just found to be leaking oil at that piece and they replaced it under warranty (only 600 miles left in my warranty).
