New NAV touchscreen upgrade is on 08 or 09?

Does anyone know if new nav touchscreen upgrade was done on 08 Cayennes or only on 09? I know 08 is different, has different led tail lights and different bumplers, but not sure about interior and touchscreen nav.

In general is there any difference between 08 and 09 CS?

I have an 08 CS with a manufacture date of July 07. Non-touch screen NAV.

But you have LED tail lights, right?

08's and up has LED's and new exterior of 957 model instead of 955. 09's has TouchScreen NAV. It has been covered many times that it would not be cost effective to get your old system out for a TouchScreen. It would be cheaper to get a full custom system than to do that.

Is the non touch screen Nav that bad? I'm used to BMW's iDrive navigation which in my option is one of the best.

I have it. It is not that bad. Is the touchscreen nicer? To someone is not not anal about finger prints yes to someone who is? :)

THE BMW system is better in regards to smoother graphics and nicer icons and can be upgraded. Porsche doesn't seem to release updates to the NAV system like the BMW people do. I would be nice to locate things by ZIP - Areas of interest.

How's premium sound on 08 CS? It is it much better than the regular stereo? I usually try to get premium sound system on all of my cars to avoid after market sub installation.

Lucky bastards! Touchscreen nav is the only way it should be. And why does Audi get Bang and Olufsen and Porsche, which is a higher-end company, gets crappy Bose?

The 2008 models have the old PCM ..the 2009 models have the touch screen..but i heard the old ones specially the old navigation system was is much better then the new one...

I am pretty sure that Audi comes with Bose also. B & O only available in the A8 at a cost of 6,300.00

Calling Bose crappy huh? You guys are unbelievable. Thank god you that don't drive a pontiac grandprix...

Vekto911 Jan 29, 2009 02:41 PM

Touch screen makes it a bit easier and apparently the 09 PCM responds a bit faster ... I am not sure about that ... I used the 09 PCM with touch screen ... it was as responsive as the 08
