(Towing) Which is better???
I'm trying to figure out what to buy in a Cayenne and and in a quandry.
Intended use:
Casual Driving
Some Business
Towing my other Porsche to DE's
Price Range:
~65k
Here are my options:
08 GTS (found one for 64k with only 4k miles)
05-06 TT (around 39-50k)
08-09 CS (anywhere from mid-low 50's and up)
The TT is tempting because I am the mod type, but I don't really need the mods. I really like the moonroof and would like this to be a nice car that I could DD if I wanted too. Suggestions????

As far as towing, they are all rating for the same towing capacity. the CS and GTS are plenty capable. I tow my boat sometimes. With the turbo you get the generation 1 cayenne as opposed to the other 2, so if you plan on keeping it for a while, it would start to look dated compared to the CS or GTS. Between the CS and the GTS, i would go for the GTS due to the exterior styling, sport exhaust, etc. All three can be modded as well.
I have an 04 CS and love it. Good luck, and when you get it, post pics!!

Honestly I like the 1rst generation Cayenne just as much as the second gen. except the headlights. And from the picture thread that techart lower valance that a lot of people has looks really good on a black car.
Warranty and mileage are the major concerns for me, I do not want a bunch of repairs and I want to be able to tow with no problems. The modability for the TT is VERY tempting though. That's sort of the do it all. the GTS is so darned sexy though. I hate decisions like this.

Just make sure you find one with the tow hitch "&" wirings installed already. Getting one afterwards is very expensive and PITA. The dealer has to do some programming otherwise you will have error codes and problems getting the lights or brake controller to work properly.

if you choose to get a gen 1 cayenne make sure it is CPO for peace of mind. i can assure you will be very happy with a 05/06 CTT
however, i would recommend going with a gen2 as it has a more updated exterior look. the interiors are practically the same.
i would choose the GTS over an S. better body kit and good exhaust sound ---> but thats your most expensive option
