I know it's not a Land Rover, but I'm wondering how the GTS would do at the beach? And I don't just mean a packed hard sand beach ....there may be some softer sections to contend with ... I would not try to plow through any medium or high sand dunes?

 

In my opinion, the Cayenne is better than a Land Rover off road. I took a Cayenne S last summer on the beach. It was a rental car. No problem at all but there again, it was nothing serious. I intend to do a desert safari this summer in Dubai and they have the Cayenne among many other cars to choose from. It's gonna be pretty extreme: in mega dunes. I heard the Cayenne handles sand terrains amazingly.

I'll let you know and confirm it's better than a Land Rover.

 

took mine to the beach a couple of weeks ago. did perfectly on the loose and hard packed sand. you shouldnt have any worries.
