Maintenance service advise

Hey all, I need some advice on my 06 CPO CS I bought a couple months back. My Cs is approaching 40k miles. I see on this forum that 40k service cost ranges between $900-$1000 at the P-dealers. I am sure I could have it done elsewhere for less than $1k. Elsewhere I meant AWE tuning.

Since this car is a CPO, does it matter if I service this car at a non P-dealers? Say (knock on wood) there are major breakdowns [for parts covered under the CPO warrant], could Porsche NA refuse to repair these problems because I havent serviced my cars at P-dealers?

I see most of you on this forums drop their cars for service at P-dealerships. However, I just want to see if it's worth the cost savings to have the service done elsewhere?

I don't think you actually have to take it to a P dealer. Why don't you call a P dealer and just ask, don't give your name away. That's what I would do.

Interesting... $1k for the 40k service huh?

I wonder what they do,,,, for sure they would replace the engine oil and filter,,, hopefully they don't BS this with "1000 points of inspection" and the price tag $1k....

I would like to see the list of service included in 40k service. (I'm pretty sure p-dealer has the list.

I just got an actual quote of $595 from my local p-dealer for 40k service. This is basically covers oil n filter, and checklist. I got myself another quote from a performance tuner shop in NJ for only $270, and they'll do all the things listed on the 40k miles checklist from porsche
