Just to clear some things up, the all new design is being released in 2010 as a 2011 MY Cayenne, correct?

So in other words, the 2010 MY will be the last of the current design? Does anybody know when the 2010 will go into production and when it finishes?

porsche23 is infamous around these parts
I am sold on the 2010 cayenne. Definatley picking up a 2011 Turbo. It'll be worth every penny of the 220,000$ USD.
Dont care how it looks.
It'll perform like a true porsche and is the best automobile i've ever had ( though currently have an 09 V6).
The street presence (esp in metallic black), the panamera interior etc etc i could go on and on.

This is very upsetting to see them change this vehicle that much!

Maybe they're skipping the 2011 model year, as they did in 2007, going from 2010 right to 2012.

Car manufacturers are required by law to make a production run for every year (I'm pretty sure about this, not 100% though). So what car manufacturers tend to do to speed things up is just make a particular "run" extremely short.
