Removing complete front Ash Tray?
Removing complete front Ash Tray?
Cheers All,
First time poster long time lurker...So I managed to accidentally get a quarter stuck in between the back of the ash tray. Is there a way to remove it completely myself or should I take it into the dealership and have them do it? The problem is now I cant close the tray and its a bit annoying to have it open while I drive. Sorry for the lame 1st post better ones are yet to follow...

i have done excatly the same with a 10 pence peice.
i had to use eye brow twesers to get in there and hook it out, not sure how it comes away from the console?
good luck.
does it come away by pressing down on it and pulling backwards?

No it seems like its set in place! Its very frustrating Im almost embarrassed to have to take it in but I also don't want to have it open all day either... I'll try the tweezer suggestion tonight but like you said it required the radio to be pulled out which Im not sure how comfortable I feel doing that. Thank you for the suggestions...
Depending on where the coin is stuck, you can sometimes wrap a piece of duct tape sticky side out around something like a popsicle stick or wire and stick it to the coin. If you decide to try it, make sure you do not lose the tape too.
I think the coin a directly behind the ash tray...I do notice there are slots on the side of the console that feels like you can push something through, Im not sure it leads to the back of the ash tray though. I wish it were above it that way tweezers would do the trick. I'll try your option as well, Cheers.
