2003 Cayenne Turbo - broken breather pipe?

Hello All

Today I checked my spark plugs and noticed that one of the breather pipes seems to have broken away and fallen off. It would appear that a 'bodge' job was carried out to rejoin the two pipes as a larger pipe has been used to sleeve both ends of the pipe.

The problem is, I have no idea where this pipe is supposed to go and it is not easy to see around the back of the engine. Also, I've no idea what the effect the broken pipe will have on the vehicle.

I have attached two photos showing the pipe in question, feedback would be greatly appreciated as always.

Regards

Looks like it is part# 948 107 215 52 "vent line bleeding crankcase".
If it ties into the larger breather tube like I think your pic shows, it goes to the rear of the intake manifold area to a "T" fitting. I can't capture the pic, but the other piece of the hose you're looking for ends in that T fitting. I'll try to dig some more.

Many thanks for your help - do you think the vehicle is ok to drive like this?

I'm not sure - does the line pull a vacuum with the engine idling?

be carefull as im sure the V8 cayenne runs "positive" crankcase pressure.
and would need vacuum/breathers to be connected/working.
would not go pop, but would run lumpy
