04 Cayenne S Torque Converter Seal - need advice!!!
04 Cayenne S Torque Converter Seal - need advice!!!
I took a look under the car the other day, no problems until I removed the plastic cover under the transmission/engine. I notice that there seems to be moisture (transmission fluid leak?) on the torque converter seal. As I live in Macedonia there are no porsche service mechanics in this country, and I can't do the repair myself.
I am relocating to the USA in August and want to ship the SUV back but need to know my options for actually driving the car now. So 2 questions really:
I live in a small city 10 mi total radius, is it OK to drive it within the city with this problem? And how often should I be checking the leak?
I will need to ship the car from Germany which is 1000mi distance from my current location- can I drive it that far on open highway? Some of the drive will be hilly and winding.
ANY and ALL ADVICE is WELCOME!!!

How many miles do you have on your Cayenne? I was told that this is a common problem on the Cayenne's with > 60K miles.
I would call your tech and see what he suggests. If you damage the transaxle your looking at a $3k-$4K repair bill.
