Cheap FRP Body Kits - ebay

Chaps

I was surfing on ebay and noticed an ebay seller in Latvia is selling a body kit for the Cayenne 955 which looks remarkably like the TechArt Magnum kit.

It could be a cheap way to get the Magnum look?

I realise the quality will never match the real thing, but still has anyone ever tried one of these type of kits?

theres one knocking about in brum, well two one with the magnum kit on one with that kit on, the one with the wanna-be magnum kits looks cheap dont look anywear near as good as the propa magnum one. its only the front bumper thats looks tacky.

Thanks for the feedback, a shame but probably expected for the price. Why did the front bumper look tacky? Install quality or bumper build quality?

Okay chaps,

Im still pondering on whether to go for this kit, the quality for a FRP kit looks pretty good. Also, the other kits like the Gemballa kit are also FRP I am lead to believe.

There is now also a chap in London (London Drift Shop) who sells the kit, ONE234 is there anyway you could check this kit out for me?

I have posted the pics of the kit and finished product they have sent me;

Thanks David,

I'd be interested to see how the aftermarket pieces matched up with the OEM structure. Did it need to be professionally installed (i.e. require modification to fit properly) or could it be installled as a DIY?

I've added OEM Aero to previous cars and it went off without a hitch, I've also tried knock-off's and it's been hit or miss.

So cheap INMHO. It's like buying a fake watch or riding mr2 with ferrari badges.

It wasnt that long ago that TechArt Magnum kit was also made from GRP. They have only recently gone to proper plastic.
