Would you buy a Cayenne from Colorado?
The weather is a lot different in Colorado than it is in Cali. Even if the car checks out clean and it's only a few years old, would you guys still be worried about the chloride damage that they use to melt the snow from the roads during the winter?

I wouldn't be too worried about the Mag Chloride. It is not as bad as salt. It may eat away the finish on the wheels so be sure to check that. Since it is only a few years old I can't see that being an issue. It can also corrode electrical connections but water can do that too.
Of more concern is the use of sand on the roads. It tends to kick up and blast the front end. Check the windshield and headlights for pitting. I used a clear bra on my headlights but my windshield gets "sparkley" in bright sunlight. Also it is inevitable for some small rocks to be mixed in with the sand so check for chips in the paint.

I'd avoid a car from a region where it gets cold or that's on the coast. Nothing wrong with them, but if they were driven regularly the odds are there is some detrimental effect from the salt over winter or from the sea air.
Get a car from southern CA or the southwest if you can
