The cold start you describe is normal for all Cayenne, its Porsche's way of warming up the cats quickly.

The new issue sounds like something that used to be common on MB's, the OVR not behaving itself when cold. Engine would die after the initial turnover but if it kept going it was ok until of course it failed all together.

I think you may have electrical/electronic issues, but I have not heard your description before.

What month was your built ?

Be gentle with how you drive it for the first five minutes or so that you drive it each day... untill the engine gets to normal operating temperature

Hmm you may want to wait for some other replys because I don't understand what you are talking about. However I want to add one more thing, dont rev the car (or very little if you have to, especially on cold start). I have been told by several people not to rev the cayenne because it supposedly confuses the "computers" and screws with the timing software for the engine, its an ongoing debate (some say its bs).
