Garage Door Opener Not Learning Remote Signal

So I got my mom a Cayenne S tonight, and we have among other options the comfort package/sport seats. It comes with a handy universal garage door opener, but I've only been able to program one of the three buttons. I have not been able to program the other two buttons, no matter how many times I follow the instructions.

And no, it's not the remotes... they are basic, non-code-hopping remotes.

Is this a warranty item, or is there something I'm not doing correctly?

I know you say you're following directions...but, go try it again. Usaully it's user error. Most of our local doors are security+, and I'm a real estate agent, so I'm the first call. I've programmed a ton of these. Sorry...that's the no help, help.

OK here's what you do
1- new battery for the opener
2 - When your up near the sensor in the car make sure you move it around alot, it takes time.
3 - take your time it does work but its fiddly
