My brother and sister-in-law are looking at a 2004 S and while they were looking over the car, they noticed that the carpet had flaps cut into them by the front seats. I don't have pics but they described them as being up in the area where the transmission tunnel would start (by the right leg of the driver and left leg of the passenger). I've never looked into Cayennes so I don't have a clue what they are. Any idea what these flaps are used for?

 

I don't know their use, but do know they are normal.

 

Mine has them as well. Not sure about their function.
