Wife's New Turbo Ordered
Wife's New Turbo Ordered
We ordered a new Cayenne Turbo for my wife a few weeks ago. It was listed as an October Build but has locked and been moved up to September. It is Jet Black on Black. There are a lot of fairly loaded Jet Black/Black Cayenne Turbos available, but none with the Panorama roof as it is a late introduction option. Also there is a savings when ordering the packages now available as opposed to the individual options.

A lot of options but then she reminded me that I have over 40,000.00 of factory options on my 997 Turbo before I started with mods, wheels, etc. I call it the PAAP theory of marriage. (Peace at any price)
Also I plan on trading my Cayenne Turbo S on a new one either in spring or when the 2012s arrive and I am sure I will be heavy on the options. I really like to individualize my cars but you really take a beating come time to sell or trade it. It is something you really do for yourself.

Curious what is the expected completion date you were quoted? Also if you don't mind sharing when you placed the order? Reason I ask is I was originally given a sept. build with sept 1 expected completion date and that was recently moved to sept 30. Wondering if the local dealer gave my spot away - and the main reason i gave him my order was because he had an early build date. Thanks.

I am not sure when we ordered the vehicle as I have no paperwork. I bought my first Porsche at this dealer (Sewickley Car Store near Pittsburgh) in 1978 and have probably bought 15 since then so have a fairly loose arrangement. I don't even know what I am going to pay for it but we'll work something out that is fair. I'm not one to squeeze the last penny out of a dealer. They have to make money. It was early in July though. It was a late October allocation vehicle but got moved up somehow. I talked to the dealer today and it now has a build date early in the second week of September so has been moved up about five weeks.
