How old would you go?

Looking for a Cayenne for daily/winter driver as CLS 63 AMG comes off lease. Presuming a clean car with low-ish miles, what model year(s) best afford value, quality and upgrades from the initial Cayenne launch?

Thanks!

Agreed, and thank you for the common sense answer.

Was concerned if there were older models with issues (i.e. specifically avoid 200?).

Gratzi'

I'm also looking for a used Cayenne and decided on a Gen 2 model (2008 or 2009), as opposed to the earlier models for the following reasons:

- The styling of the Gen 2 Turbo/GTS looks more aggressive (IMHO)
- PDCC (makes a big difference and not available on earlier cars)
- Will still have a bit of warrantee left
- Extra power compared to earlier cars
- I've heard most of the mechanical issues have been sorted
- If you get a 2009+ it has the new PCM 3.0

As the saying goes.......get the newest you can afford. I believe most electronic glitches had been sorted out starting MY2005. Everything else is a matter of preference of design, power requirements, warranty/extended warranty, and whatever kind of deal comes up while shopping for one.
