I was told that the car may have a problem with the fuel pump, can some experts tell me why the problem is related with fuel pump?

guys, there is a slight update on my car. Its been a week sitting in the service bay, they ordered a new fuel pump, replaced it yesterday and it did not solve the problem. Tomorrow, a new altenator will arrive and they hope that it will solve the problem. It is something to do with the electrical problem.

Wow, doesn't the computer tell them what is wrong. I think you may need a new dealer after this, one with a better tech.

Did they at least give you a cayenne 'S' as a loner.

And about the lemon thing, trust me nothing tops my wife's audi A6 Avant. When it's below 10' out, cross your fingers the check engine light wong come on and the car won't run like a bucking bronco. And don't get me started on the cracked wood and the broken trim pieces on her 2 1/2 year old car. Or he 2000 passat (that consumer reports loved) that essentially fell apart at 26000 miles and 1 year old, and nothing was covered under warranty.

Good luck and keep us posted...

good luck with the car dude.

We have electrical problems with our 01 MB S500. Since day one the battery has died nearly half yearly. Recently it's been dying every two months, with battery level full. Checked all electrical components, new alternator everything. Disconnected the fridge, problem still there. They boiled it down to the TV, disconnected it, problem still there as well. i think our car is more of a lime than a lemon.

Gonna wait a few more months until the new S class is out, then trade in the sucker. Today with so many electrical components in a car, more problem arises.

thanks guys! I get an A4 for loaner because it was a short notice and they do not have any Porsches left for loaner, if I told them earlier, I could have gotten a better car, they do their best so I am crossing my fingers.
