This is a pretty uneducated and dare I say, stupid comment. People buy cars based on the following criteria:

1. Features/Benefits
2. Price/Payment
3. Marque/Prestige
4. Looks/Style
5. Reliability

The FX is very strong in all categories except #3. 4 out of 5 ain't bad.

adsc4s is infamous around these parts
I think that is true for the average car buyer. On this board though, I think the criteria is:

1. Performance
2. Looks/Style
3. Performance
4. Marque/Prestige
5. Performance
6. Reliability
7. Performance
8. Performance

In that case, the FX45 meets or exceeds the performance stats of the Cayenne S, for much less money.

Sure does, except you do notice money is not one of the criteria!

The FX45 handles as well as the Cayenne? I couldn't believe how amazing the CS handled in an autocross - not like a truck at ALL. I have a very hard time thinking the FX is that good, particularly given the experience with other Infinitis I've had. Perhaps the super fat rubber makes a big difference, but from what I have read, the FX is not as comfortable on the road as the Cayenne, either.

There's one thing missing with the FX45 ,off road capability. WIth the Cayenne you have the best of both Worlds, the FX45 is car based frame. But it does handle well, I would've bought one if the Cayenne didnt come out. Snow performance, I've been thru snow storms and very happy with the Cayenne. Actually the FX45 has a more luxurious ride than the Cayenne and more features kinda like a Lexus. But when I drove the Cayenne, I never looked back I actually bought a V6 cayenne at first, even after driving the fx,lx470 and the mdx, I just traded this year for the S, now so much happier. but I'm a Porsche guy
