Friend purchasing a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S

I have a friend who is putting an offer in on a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S. The SUV has 41,000 miles> I dont have the option list yet, but the owner is looking for $35,000. Does this sound reasonable. My friend has several 911's but he looking to get rid of his 2001 X5 & get into a Cayenne. I'm not really familiar with pricing on these vehicles.

that's soooo cheap for a TT-S.. if you can get a pre-purchase inspection and comes out good, then that's a steal!

That's the lowest price that I've seen on an 06 TTS. First thought that crosses my mind is why is it so cheap?

followup

So my friend took the Cayenne into have a PPI at a Chicago dealer today & was told that the SUV definitely needs front pads/rotors & possibly rears too. In addition, the Cayenne has'nt had the 40k service yet. All of this work puts it around $2700-3000. He's wondering if this is such a good deal now. I should preface that my friend knows the individual (colleagues) and that my be why the SUV is slightly discounted.

Smile

With the $3k to get it up to speed, that is still a good deal. Unless something else is wrong with it, go for it. You only live once.

Didn't the Turbo S come with the 20" Techno's as standard equipment and also the painted (body color) front bumper vents? I think that's probably a standard 2006 CTT. Still a fair buy if you like the color.

turbo S badging on front, door sills and back.. sports pipes, 20 inch techno.. larger brakes.. i was looking at a local seller's C-TT and had the same setup (with those side skirts).. only to find out it's not a CTT-S.. i guess my fault in assuming it was a CTT-S since it had the "S" badge at the back.. i haven't compared how "big" the brakes of the CTT-S compared to the regular C-TT, door sills can be replaced as well as badging (can be added).. best way to find out (i guess) is get a Porsche dealership to run the VIN (is there a way to decode the VIN and find out if it's a turbo or turbo-S?)
