Front Bumper Removal ~ HELP ~

I need to replace my parking sensors. I can reach 4 thru the headlight holes, but the 2 in front, I can not... steel bumper in the way.

OK, so I've read its not to difficult to remove...LIES ! -
I've pulled many a bumper from other vehicles, but this one will NOT come off. Its down there with Torx & Screws out from the top, bottom, near the 'bumper sprayer', wheel well, thru the front grill, etc... will NOT budge.

What am I missing ?

Also, do I need to pull the fluid lines from that sprayer ? Other elecitrical lines ?

I hope am not missing any major step.

Remove bolts on top and bottom of bumper. Remove the wheel well liner or peel it back. Remove side marker light (yellow light). I think there are bolts attaching the bumper to fender near the side marker light also. Remove headlight and you will see where the bumper slide away from fender (where the fender meets the bumper). There is a tap there (triangular shaped maybe) press the tap and the bumper will release. I forgot press in or out, but when you see it is obvious. just to be clearer, when you are standing facing the car with the driver side headlight removed, the tap will be on the right side where the fender and bumper meets about 2 inches or so inside.

Hope this help

forgot to add right before you remove the bumper, may need to disconnect headlight washer hose and / or other wire connectors.

Testing them is easy. Turn your Ignition 'on', but do not start the car. Put Emergency brake on, then put in D (fronts), then R (rears). Go put your finger on each one...they will pulsate and you can hear them 'click'... its slight, but there.

Thanks, but am sure I got all that... Perhaps missed the side light bolts as it seems to far up/away from the bumper to be an issue. I'll check those too.

It just seems something in-front is keeping it on.

Tommy H

Hey There;
Well, I finally got my front bumper off. It was a 'reverse-facing' T28 at the top of the wheel arch hidden behind that really stiff top fender liner... geez. Luckily, I had a blanket down as it just fell right off. That 'tab' wasn't really doing much -

Anyway, you said you can help with the Rear Bumper ?
Might as well do both while I'm at it.

Thanks in Advance !

-Take out the tail lights, (open trunk and you have the screws under the rubber lid on each side)

- there are screws behind the tail lights, 2 in wheelhouse, and rest under the fender at bottom of the bumper,

its an easy job , just pull it backwards, remind the connector to sensors on left side (short cable)

some pics
