PDK versus Tip 8 Sporty Driving or Recipe for Disaster?

Dear Colleagues,

Like many on this forum, my Cayenne S is up in RI after having come in on the Athens Highway.

I am driving a Cayman PDK and I use the shifters most of the time keeping the Cayman instantly responsive and at high revs on the twisty back roads that make up a lot of my daily commute. I LEASED the Cayman and drive it the way it should be driven while at the same time keeping my driving safe and legal at all times.

I am buying the Cayenne S

The question boils down to this- if you drive the Tip 8 the way a PDK is designed to be driven can the Tip 8 hold up and was it designed for this style of routine, sporty driving?

Who among you have experience with the PDK driving it with the shifters routinely and also drive the Tip?

What do you think about the Tip 8 being driven in this sporty style and longevity? How serious was Porsche designing the Tip 8 to be a performance transmission?

Thoughts on this dueling tranny dilemma?
