Thinking about picking up a 2008 Cayenne which does not have the bose radio. It has a cdr23. My question is does the base system has an external amp or are the speakers powered by the cdr23? Also, if I wanted to switch to an aftermarket head, what do I need to make the steering controls work? Thanks in advance.

 

no amp, replace radio, need a custom mounting kit, antenna adapter, also an interface module for the steering wheel controls as they are over the CAN network. I forgot to mention also to find someone that knows what they are doing... I seen many that were screwed up.
