Lowering Links -- installation trouble
Lowering Links -- installation trouble
I bought these lowering links in the classifieds a few weeks ago. The price was right ($100).

I tried to install them last week but was unsuccessful because I couldn't get the rubber grommets off the original links. I'm referring to the grommets/bushings that go around the ball socket.
For those of you who have installed lowering links, how the heck did you get the rubber grommets off the OEM links?
Side note: I actually ended up breaking the sensor when I tried to put the OEM links back on the car. 2 trips to the dealer and $350 later to fix the sensor. The dealer told me they couldn't even get the links to fit. I'm not sure if they just gave up or what.
I really would like to install these things, but this seems much harder than it should be. Any advice from those of who you have installed lowering links? Did you re-use the stock grommets or did you buy new ones?

These are the ones I used for my lowering...
These came with the rubber pressed on so all you need to do is adjust and snap the ball joint in place.
1. Easy to install
2. Easy to adjust
3. Won't break during the install
Just a better made product IMO all the way around, new they are about $299 the set.

LINK, YOU CAN PICK THEM UP IF YOU ARE CLOSE BY, BUT I WOULD NEED TO CHECK STOCK BEFORE HAND.

Will that fit the 2011 cayenne?
I have a set for sale in the classifieds if you decide you want to try a different set of links....
