+1 on the meth injection, good way to add 30 +/- hp and keep the engine internals clean. I have the HSF-6 on my 996tt and it is alomst effortless to maintain. Really feel the little extra when it kicks in on strong boost. If my 04 CTT wasn't older with the higher miles I would probably already have installed it. Looking for a newer CTT to upgrade first.

Well, pricing everything out from Suncoast, it comes out to over $3,000 in parts if you get the air guides and such to make everything fit properly. Intercoolers alone are $1,100 each.

If I remember correctly, there is quite a bit of room in the front of the engine bay to do a single vertical flow intercooler with dual entry and a single exit. That would then plumb directly into the throttle body which would allow me to sell my plenum (saving another $900 after I resell it).

Here is kinda what I'm talking about from APS' F-body turbo kits. I have to think that Bell could fabricate something similar for fairly cheap. A 3.5" x 18" x 24" core (just estimating the size, haven't measured) is about $750 from Bell and would flow enough to support 600 hp. Maybe I'll take some more exact measurements and contact Bell tomorrow for a quote.

I just actually opened the hood this morning and looked more closely, and what I proposed above (top center exit on FMIC) definitely would not work, lol. I suppose one could do a dual entry/dual exit design and simply join up to the existing charge tubing and plenum. Alternatively, one could do a dual entry and single exit on one side and simply plumb it into the TB.

It would be nice for Wheel Dynamics to pop the hood and show us what he has done here although I'm really not sure how a crossflow design like that would work without tons of extra charge tubing.

Not sure how much room is available under the radiator crossmember area, if the first idea was flipped upside down (twin entry, single exit) then the piping could come from underneath up to the throttle body?

This would probably be less piping:

This would work well also, I would like to fill the front area up with as much cooler as possible given the space.

+1 Probably a lot cheaper to do a meth kit.

I've been thinking more about adding a meth kit. Julio @ Alky Control is local to me: http://alkycontrol.com/ He has done a ton of setups. Adding meth without increasing boost and/or changing the tune would probably only result in a negligible performance increase; however, I'm thinking that flashing the ECU to the ECT600 program and adding meth would still give a window of safety (still has intercoolers) and the meth would allow it to really perform as intended without the added cost of the upgraded intercoolers. I doubt the canned ECT600 flash is really that aggressive anyways.

Thoughts?

Alex from Sharkwerks told me he could flash my ECU with the ECT600 flash. The intercoolers and tune are the only differences in the "S" so there should be no reason it shouldn't work unless for some reason EVO doesn't tune some parameters that are present in the OEM "S" flash that would not be present and thus not changed in the non-S flash.

On that note, had anyone actually flashed a non-S ECU with a flash meant for an "S"?

I sent Evolution Motorsports a PM asking them to weigh in on this topic.
