Yeah, I heard that the VC on other cars are very bad, so I wasn't sure about getting it. I'm still contemplating on whether to get the pana roof or not. The pana roof would obviously be a great addition, but it took it out to fund for the PVT plus. I went to porsche to test drive the car, unfortunately they only had a cayenne with standard seats available. To be honest, I thought the standard seats were pretty comfortable for a guy like me. Thanks for the input!

In sport, when the the PASM lowers, the transmission not only holds gears longer but the whole driving experience is tighter and more buttoned up. I cannot even get out of 5th gear without risking harm on surface streets and highways. This car is super fast. Does not throw me back in my seat the way a turbo could, but it is way faster than I need in South Florida.

Have not been able to really test the PTV in the first few hundred of miles, but need something to look forward to.
+1 about not needing too much speed in SF,which is why I am seriously thinking of trading in my 997tts for a mere 11'CT

I just don't understand this philosophy. Entry and drive is one of the best options there is, IMO.

Really, compared to what .... PDCC, PTV, Air suspension, PASM, Burmester, full leather, pana roof ...... I think that is what is great about custom ordering a car that has so many options. We are all so different in what we think is a must have or have not . I would take a snug fitting sporty looking seat than the e & d. I have yet to see someone who has the e&d not like it. I guess I do not know what I am missing and would like to keep it that way

After owning an Infiniti FX, EVO X, and C63 AMG w/ similar keyless systems, it would be very hard and inconvenient to own a SUV without it. I can see w/o it on a weekend toy, but it is almost a must have for DD. Too bad the price of this option is $1K+ while it comes with the basic package on other cars I mentioned.

With all due respect, you don't know what you're missing. Especially in bad weather when your hands are full and you're digging for the stupid key. The new Cayenne's and Panamera's take Porsche to a new level of luxury, this option should be part of that package, again, IMO.

I already went 20K over budget, thought long and hard about the E and D, went with compass and heated windscreen instead. I probably should h andve gone with the E&D instead of the (what I think) useless extended wheel arch option. Oh Well you learn all the time. I too think it should have been part of the comfort package since it is a convenient option. My other fear was the possibility of some electrical gremlins with the E&D option but I guess you could say that for every other option too since no one knows how a PTV or PDCC will hold up with age.

You really do not need to powdercoat the calipers. A good caliper paint kit will do and folks sells stenciles where you can re-apply the Porsche text or even put on Brembo if you want. Rennline sell these I think. You should be able to do them on the car.

Congrats on the car!! Join the PCA and go have fun with local members!!

I really really wanted E&D (My sister has it in a car-convenient) my only problem is that I park with valet in NYC and once in her car I forgot that the key was in my pocket and left the car there. Much drama, expensive to "roll" the car around on 4 little "ice skates or roller skates" so, if I don't have that option, I cannot make that mistake again. It is certainly convenient for most places though...
