Amplifier not working!

Well, it appears my OEM Amp on my 04 CTT is pooched. The dealer quoted $1300 CDN for replacement plus a few hours labour. I can't bring myself to pay that for Bose sound so I'm going aftermarket. Plan on installing a Pioneer Avic Z-120BT head unit, Polk SR6500 Components for front stage, JL Stealthbox Sub and a JL HD900/5 to power the system. I'll post pics after I finish.

I am not sure but I think you still need the factory amp to run all of the trucks other functions. I know in both of my cars that have full aftermarket systems in them the oem amp is tapped into and connected to the aftermarket amps. I also have a JL Audio Cleansweep in both of my cars to keep the factory look and maintain all factory functions.

Really? I wasn't aware of this. Does that mean I'm doomed to buy a replacement amp?

Factory Service Center...(972) 479-0001 its in Texas.... I sent my bose factory amp.to them last spring out of my MB.with fiber optics.. they checked it out and it turned out to be ok..it was something else (phone module i believed) so i ended up just replacing it with an aftermarket amp.......cheers!
