Tiptronic Problems and Lawyers
Tiptronic Problems and Lawyers
Hi,
I've been following these boards for some time now and thought I would relate a short tale of forcing Porsche to acknowledge problems with the selector lever on my CT.
I finally hired an attorney to lemon law my CT as the service people tried 4 times to correct the shifting problem and then said nothing was wrong. In response to the lawsuit, they sent out two reps to convince me that my driving was at fault. (Cynicism on my part?-yes)
Anyway....the selector lever failed several times to downshift while one of the reps was driving. The rep said it was a bad switch. Well..........................yeah!
Supposedly, there is a new switch available that is being shipped in - this puts to lie one of their contentions that this had never happened to anyone else.
I love the power of this SUV, but I can't take Porsche's attitude that the customer is either wrong or stupid.
I also have vibration in the steering wheel and keyless entry problems and general brake weirdness. Perhaps I'll post another time about that, but wanted to vent.
BTW, to Ben - the only reliable part of this vehicle is the low usage of oil

i really think Porsche needs to listen to their customers. Especially those who has been long standing customer and have continued to purchase their products. I am sure you guys have better things to do than just make this problems us. I wish they would just take responsiblities and try to fix it - instead of blaming it on the people who buys their car.
Anyway, good luck with ur case and sorry bout the car.
Keep us updated.
The gas mileage really sucks.
lol, i am avg. 10mpg. :-(
