Painted Trim on Porsche Canadian Site!?
That looks really clean. I was thinking about having the trim painted on my car. I ordered my Cayenne in black because i've always been a fan of black cars and have had several. Even with a black car, I still don't dig the flat black plastic and wondered if anyone had gone through the trouble of heading to the paint shop. I also wonder, however, about the durability of non-factor painting of wheel arches and rocker panels. Can an aftermarket paint job be safely covered in clear bra?
My dealer is sending mine to the paint shop the day it gets delivered. I should have a price quote sometime this week.
Still over a month away from delivery, but I will post pics as soon as it's done.

I'd definitely be interested in hearing what you are quoted for painting the trim. What parts are you thinking about having done?
The wheel arches(Reminds me of the cheap Chevy Avalanche plastic!) and the front and rear bumper.

I know I want the wheel arches done. I guess I've not seen the cars enough to know how much else to change. I think the lower rear bumper is flat black but don't know how much of the front bumper is that way. I don't think I'd paint much on the front since my car is black and the flat black vents will hold up better to road wear.

i actually felt the exact same way until i took delivery. The trim has really grown on me, particutlary becuase i have the arches that came with 21's, I have JBM and i got the skid plates. I wouldnt feel the same with any lighter color or without the standard (not extended) arches.
I looked into getting the trim painted and got numbers around $3k.

Thanks for the info!
The trim blends in nicely on a Black vehicle. I ordered my CTT in Umber, so the black trim is more noticeable.
I guess I'm one of the minority that likes the black trim. I hate the black trim on the X5, but it certainly has grown on me on the Cayenne. Not that I think the above looks bad by any means, but I feel the multiple pieces stand out more IMO when it's all the same body color, where as the black blends into the wheel well. I wonder how well the paint will hold up on the plastic? The each his own, I guess...
Painted trim is coming soon. On page 197 of the owner's manual it says the following: "Risk of damage. Front, rear and side member trims are painted on vehicles with the SportDesign package"
Finally got the price quote from the dealer about painting the Front/Rear bumper and wheel arches, $800.00 for labor and paint. They had to order new wheel arches and those cost $379.00
While Im having the dealer paint everything i'll have them install the lowering module as well.
