locking air suspension question?

is it necessary to "lock" the air suspension (06 CTT-S) when placing on a lift? or using a jack (say to replace tires).. what will be the problems if you forget to lock the suspension? any fault/codes that will come up?

thanks in advance.

and if it's necessary, what's the procedure to "lock" it (set to sports? normal? comfort?)

Set the suspension height to normal height, once it is there hold the lever forward for 10 seconds (raise position on switch) the indicator should show up saying the system is now inactive and when placed on a lift everything will be fine. My experience was it had an indicator after getting down from the lift but will clear after a short drive. turn the system back on the same way, the instructions are also in the manual.
