PASM & Off-Road/Beach Performance

Does PASM setting on standard shocks affect Off-Road performance? I'll mainly be doing beach driving, but what setting should the PASM be on?

comfort so it can absorb all the shocks

And perhaps slightly deflating your tires when u hit the sand,for more surface contact...
