Tire & Wheel Decisions (Travel Trailer)

As I plan the next stage of my life, I am in a quandry. I have three sets of tires & wheels, but need to downsize and lighten my load.

While the 20" Techno's are OEM and are quieter, get better MPG and handle wonderfully on highway, the 18" seem better for gravel roads and a softer ride. Also, they cost far less.

Replacing 20" Michellin Diamaris adds up.

But where I am going I doubt I'll need my snow tires.

While I am thinking of hauling a spare set of 18's for the times when I might go off-road or need to handle some snow, the fact is I could use the room and weight for other things.

The 25' trailer is the largest living space I can tow behind me. This is a major change in life style but I am hoping that it'll be a lot more fun to winter in the desert than spend it in Alaska.

Can I get by with the 20's or should I just make it simple and tow with 18's? Or do I haul a "spare set?"
