Cup, that's a good post. Did the sub itself or the amp take the longest time?

You do not lose the whole center display, you only lose the nave part that shows up in center display. You still have the tps, menu, speed, gas info etc.

BTW Bose sounds terrible, i replaced the bose system with 4 JL speakers and its lights out better. So much that when i take it to Porsche for service the guys flock to the car to listen. If your going to get into replacing the speakers you might as well do it right and replace EVERYTHING!

Fwiw, nobody said you lose the entire drivers information center, just all the stuff related to the stereo and nav.

The Sub amp took about 20 minutes ... the sub woofer took the rest of the time. Almost every single panel needs to come out, including the back seat. If you go to the website for JL Audio http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...hp?fit_id=1573 and then http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/12654.pdf for install instructions. I am sure every ones aftermarket systems sound great ... all I know is that I wanted to keep my system and this little addition makes a huge difference. Also the guys at my local dealer where blown away by my install and sound as well.

I actually love the Bose in my Cayenne - everyone comments on it. The one in my 911 not so much. However I do agree on the fact that its over marketed BS. Hehe..
