Try a product called zoopseal. I think its expensive but you dont have o polish for somethng like a year. I know many people use it on billet products and it holds its shine.

How much does it cost to have the lips redone in chrome. I want to have the 543Rs redone from the Turbo.

Keep in mind that chrome can flake off the lip if the tire installer is not real careful on big wheels...

This is not an issue if you go to a good high end shop that caters to "bling". They do this everyday and if they f it up they will stand behind there work... I have had 20's, 22's and now 20's again on my SUV's and 2 sets of Chrome lips on my TT and never had any issues with installers.

Your right is can be a problem.. Take them to the right place.

Gary: its tough to find that place in Boston area, dealerships won't do it because they are afraid they break or scratch it...

This is exactly why I will never own a wheel with a polished lip again. Sure they look great maybe the first time you put them on, but the very first time you wash them they are done for. There is no way to avoid the little nicks and hairline scratches. And me being the super **** person I am just cannot deal with this. My 448R and 847R were all the same. It's all about one piece forged wheels now!

I have heard great things about Zoop Seal. My new wheels should be here in about a week. I have ordered the Zoop Seal already, so as soon as the wheels get here, I will be putting it on my new HRE wheels. I will post the results.

Most of the wheels we carry either have a machined lip w/clearcote, or in AT Italia's case is going to a polished stainless steel lip. No maintanence and it they get scratched can be polished out.
