Quick question everyone... I'm in the decision process of ordering a new Cayenne... I currently drive 2008 and am ordering a 2012. the color sad white has been discontinued and replaced by "Carrara White" My wife was told by the sales consultant that the color has been discontinued by Porsche because of warranty issues???? has anyone out there have any insight on this topic; and or had any problems with the color sand white...? please help!

 

FWIW my Cayenne is sand white and while I love the color, there is something off about the quality/consistancy of the paint compared to my arctic silver 911. There was a ton of orange peel from day one and the clear coat started to crack/peel at the edges after 2 years.

I never bothered with attempting a warranty claim since paint-related defects are almost impossible to get the manufacturer to take accountability... but it sounds like at least one dealer is aware of the problem, so now I wished I had!

 

Anyone else have such negative experience with Sand White?

 

Sand white on my 04' Turbo and it is flawless. Original paint, no accidents and VERY durable.
