need help deciding 08 gts or older turbo??

looking to buy a used cayenne, started looking at Gts models because i like the newer styling 08 moldels and up but then found myself thinking about used turbos being cheaper $ and offering more performance. What do you guys think I should do? keep seaching for the right gts at the right price? or find myself a nice 06 turbo? the perfect scenario would be to find a 08 turbo at a great price. I'm sort of lost in the cayenne world need help???

Wait it out for a good deal on a 08 turbo. You will love it it's the most all rounded SUV money can buy.

Thanks! with the new cayenne already hitting the streets I have a feeling there are going to be more 08s on the market soon. I'm going to wait for the right 08 CTT

had an 08 GTS and sold it for the 2011 Turbo.
Nothing beats the turbo especially at altitude.

2008 is the first year for the DFI on the 4.8 V8. Better performance and more efficient.
With that said, I would try and find a nicely optioned Turbo 2008 over the same optioned but a GTS.

Make sure they have the options you need in the Cayenne. PDCC, Bose (best offered at that time), sport design (standard on GTS, option of CTT), stuff like that.

good luck.

They should only be $5-$10K apart in price GTS, vs CTT.
they are out there, just keep looking.

I've got an 06 CTTS with another year and 4 months left on the CPO warranty if you are interested. Check out my ad in the FS section. I've got some more pics too. I'm willing to deal on the price as well.

^thanks guys but I'm looking for a 2008 turbo or gts. I've got another question trailer hitch/ tow is that something that can be added or am i better of finding one with that option from factory?

Definitely find one with a hitch because it will have the towing module thy adjust shift points etc. I went through the same decision and found one with a hitch. If it doesn't have the wiring plug let me know and will tell you the part to get off amazon for 15 vs Porsche for god knows what. Not suite if it s the sane on the newer models but for some reason porsche decided to put a plate over the wiring rather than install the 15 dollar part I mentioned above rather than installfrom the factory. I will tell you one thing, my turbo s tows like a beast so I'm sure the same goes for a turbo. I would tow my 996tt on a steel trailer and it was a dream.

just sold a very nice blacked out 08 CTT to the dealer for 50k, you might be able to get it for 50-60k. Its at Scott Clark Toyota in Charlotte NC off I74.

THe CTT has 44k miles, Techart Lowering mod, 7k in stereo, Rinspeed rep wheels, tow package, pdcc, runs great and all service done at Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte.

I think the orig sticker was 118k.

Traded it for a sweet 2009 GT-R.

I was in the very same situation as you were. Really loved the 08-10 GTS and turbo styling but figured to look for a low mileage GTS if I could find one considering my budget. Low and behold- my dreams came true. I just bought a low mileage 08 TT!!! this has it all. Power. Handling. Styling. I'm totally stoked. It rocks. However I will not lie- the 08-10 GTS is still a great cayenne. Good luck.
